Wood Finishes
At The Dining Chair Company, we take pride in our bespoke craftsmanship and attention to detail. We believe it’s those finishing touches that make a piece of furniture truly special. We offer a range of wood finishes, allowing our customers to customise their dining chair to their preferred taste. Prices shown are for our standard beech frames. We can also make up in ash (+20%), oak or mahogany (+25%) or walnut (+35%) with the upcharges shown - please enquire for pricing. All our woods are prime grade and completely natural from sustainable sources in Europe. As a natural living product, there might be visible marks and patterns within the grain of the wood only visible once it is cut making each piece unique. Any markings are unpredictable and must be considered as a characteristic of the product. Furthermore, the grain of the wood can take the staining process very differently so the final finish is not always uniform. Beech tends to be more bland in grain although there can be individual sections which differ, oak can surprise with flecks and the grain markings can vary hugely, dependent on how far up the tree the wood is taken from. Every effort is made to ensure that the finishes correspond as closely as possible to the samples shown online or in the showroom. However, due to the hand made nature of the products there can be variation and no responsibility can be accepted for these variations. When furniture is made from natural woods, it may react to atmospheric conditions such as humidity or dryness (caused by air conditioning, underfloor heating, radiators, storage conditions etc).
